About The Position

As a Travel School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of students. You will start students’ days with morning pickup before school and transport them safely back home in the afternoon. This position involves traveling out of state and staying for extended periods, with both short-term and long-term opportunities available. You will work with local teams to provide reliable transportation services during staffing shortages, new business start-ups, and operations transitions. Requirements

  • Hold a CDL class B with P and S endorsements
  • Availability to travel out of the state
  • Are at least 21 years old.
  • Have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Enjoy working with students.
  • English proficiency is required for training, safety communications, company policies, employment documents, and other job-related communications.

Responsibilities

  • Traveling out of state and stay for extended periods, short term and long term opportunities available.
  • Working with local teams to provide reliable transportation services during staffing shortages, new business start-ups, and operations transitions.
  • Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
  • Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
  • Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
  • Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
  • Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
  • Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
  • Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.

Benefits

  • Pay rate is $ 33.25/hr. for an 8 hour day Monday- Friday.
