Travel RN Med Surg / Telemetry in Lima, OH with $2120 Weekly Gross
About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Travel RN Med Surg Telemetry for a travel/contract position in Lima, OH. This role is full-time, with a contract length of 13 weeks. Both local and traveler candidates are accepted. The position involves providing all aspects of nursing care for patients in Med Surg, Telemetry, and floating to similar units within the scope of practice and skillset. The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on their shift, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Responsibilities also include assisting in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries. The EMR system used is MediTech.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse: 2 year+ - Required
- Med Surg and Telemetry Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2 year+ – Required
- Must be competent with Cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex,) and have knowledge of titration and application of these medications. - Required
- Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. - Required
- Must possess critical thinking skills, be able to recognize change in patient status and intervene - Required
- Must possess knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke, recognize change in patient status and intervene. - Required
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Attendance: must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts and be on time.
- Willing to float to similar units within the scope of practice and skillset – Required
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- RN License for State of OH or compact - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA - Required
- ACLS Certification from AHA - Required
- NIHSS Certification - Required
Nice To Haves
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- Prior travel or contract assignment experience – Preferred
Responsibilities
