About The Position
We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity Critical Care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong CVICU experience, including Day 0 post-cardiac surgery recovery, and the ability to care for patients within both the CVICU and Critical Care Unit (CCU).
Requirements
- Active Colorado RN License in good standing.
- Minimum three (3) years of Critical Care RN experience.
- Strong CVICU experience required.
- Day 0 CVICU experience required.
- Experience caring for post-cardiac surgery patients.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- Current AHA PALS Certification.
- Strong assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in high-acuity critical care environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to CVICU and CCU patients.
- Manage Day 0 post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients.
- Monitor and assess critically ill cardiac patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Respond effectively to emergent situations and changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in call rotation as required.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
