Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Case Manager for a travel assignment at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. This role supports inpatient case management services with a focus on discharge planning, care coordination, and utilization review across a high-acuity hospital setting. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for RN Case Managers with strong acute care experience who are comfortable managing large caseloads and coordinating multidisciplinary care plans in a fast-paced environment. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 5x8s • Typical shifts between 07:00–17:00 • Monday–Friday schedule with weekend rotation (every other) • Floating required within case management services • No call required COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, social services, and therapy • Utilize Milliman guidelines and regulatory standards • Facilitate DME coordination and post-acute care placement • Ensure compliance with CMS and HIPAA guidelines • Document care using Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Magnet-designated acute care hospital • Level II Trauma Center • 400+ staffed beds • High-volume inpatient case management department • Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Acute care hospital RN experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
  • Case Management experience REQUIRED
  • Epic charting experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
  • Active Alaska RN license REQUIRED at submission (Auto Offer requirement)
  • BLS certification required
  • Ability to manage high patient caseloads (approx. 1:50)
  • Must be willing to float within case management services
  • Must meet 50-mile radius rule (no locals)
  • RTO must be submitted at time of submission (1 request max)
  • Must be willing to work weekends as required
  • Hep B vaccine required (no titers/declinations)
