About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for an exciting Travel job in Bronx, NY. This is a contract position for 14 weeks, with a Day Shift schedule of 3x12.5 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The pay rate is between $67 - $84/hour. The role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates, across various acuity levels. The therapist will manage ventilators, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License (NYSED).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC.
• BLS Certification (Primary Source Verification required).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Adult and Pediatric General Care.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Adult and Pediatric Critical Care.
• Experience in Emergency and Trauma settings.
• Experience in Neonatal Care.
• Strong ability to work in high-acuity hospital environments.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway support.
• Respond to emergency and trauma situations.
• Perform respiratory therapy treatments and assessments.
• Assist in critical care and ICU settings.
• Monitor patient response and adjust therapy according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with respiratory care standards and hospital policies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Support high-quality patient care across multiple acuity levels.
