About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Pinckneyville Correctional Center in Pinckneyville, IL. This role involves working at various facilities/locations throughout the state of Illinois, based on contract needs, with each assignment restricted to one location. The RN will provide holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to the diverse needs of patients.
Requirements
- Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Illinois
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
- Must be 90+ miles from selected facility
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.
