Travel Registered Nurse – Hospice
About The Position
This role is for a Hospice RN – Regional Support, designed for individuals who enjoy making a difference across multiple communities and stepping in where care is needed most. In this dynamic role, you will provide direct care to patients and support to families, while also serving as a floating clinician. This involves being temporarily assigned to different hospice branches based on census needs or staffing gaps. The ideal candidate is energized by new settings, adaptable to change, and passionate about purpose-driven care. As a Hospice RN – Regional Support, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patients, manage and implement individualized plans of care, and support and lead interdisciplinary team members such as LPNs, CNAs, and HHAs. Responsibilities also include assessing and addressing patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs, accurately documenting all care provided, and ensuring compliance with hospice protocols. You will educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety, participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours care as needed, and collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care team. Additionally, you will assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance, and travel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long-term care, oncology or other high acuity setting)
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Responsibilities
