About The Position

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking a Temporary Travel RN for a 14-week, full-time night shift assignment on their 24-bed Post Surgical/Ortho Unit (1 East). This unit primarily cares for orthopedic surgical patients (70%) but also includes general medical patients (30%). Sentara Leigh Hospital is a 274-bed acute care facility, established in 1903 and relocated in 1977, which underwent renovation in 2016. It features two new patient towers, an atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. The hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital offering a full continuum of orthopedic care, from pre-operative to rehabilitation and home care. It is recognized as an accredited Primary Stroke Center and a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, specializing in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, and general surgery. Additionally, it houses the region’s only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program for various healing needs.

Requirements

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
NIH Stroke Scale
Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience
