About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac nursing experience and the ability to care for intermediate and step-down patients with complex medical conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care, Step-Down, or similar acute care RN experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- AHA ACLS Certification required
- Strong cardiac nursing and telemetry experience required
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Float across PCU and IMCU units as needed
- Provide direct nursing care to intermediate and progressive care cardiac patients
- Manage patients with conditions including: STEMI NSTEMI Chest pain Post-cardiac surgery recovery
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips such as: Milrinone Dobutamine Vasopressors
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and cardiac care protocols
