About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) position specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) located in Ogdensburg, NY. The assignment is for a 13-week duration, beginning on September 14, 2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The shift is a 12-hour day shift, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, operating on a 3x12 schedule within a hospital setting. The estimated weekly pay ranges from $2,101 to $2,203. The role involves providing comprehensive obstetric nursing care to laboring patients, supporting immediate newborn care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New York (state of assignment)
- BLS certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Labor and Delivery and newborn care experience; at least 2 years of recent OB/L&D experience
- Ability to work in a hospital OB/L&D setting; effective communication and teamwork skills
- Completion of an accredited nursing program

Responsibilities
- Provide obstetric nursing care for laboring patients, including monitoring contractions and fetal status with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
- Administer medications, manage pain relief, and assist with labor and delivery procedures
- Support newborn care immediately after birth, perform initial assessments, and assist with newborn procedures
- Collaborate with the obstetric team, physicians, and support staff; document care in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based obstetric protocols; respond to obstetric emergencies; participate in rounds and care planning
- Support postpartum care and discharge planning as appropriate
