About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Allen, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in labor and delivery, with the flexibility to support mother-baby care when needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Flexibility to float between units as required
Nice To Haves
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience in Mother-Baby / Postpartum care
- Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP (as applicable)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, administer medications, and assist in childbirth procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Float to Mother-Baby unit to provide newborn care when L&D census is low.
