About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking ICU RN's for multiple travel/contract positions in Bay City, MI. Accepting both local and traveler candidates. This role involves providing all aspects of Nursing care for patients in the ICU Unit, with the flexibility to float to the ED or Step Down unit as needed. The nurse will utilize clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. Collaboration with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care, patient and family teaching, and accurate record-keeping are key components of this position. Participation in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revising the plan of care based on assessment is also expected.

Requirements

Registered Nurse: 2+ years - Required
ICU Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2+ years – Required
Comfortable floating to ED or Step Down when needed - Required
ASN or an equivalent – Required
RN License for State of MI - Required
BLS, ACLS Certifications from AHA - Required
NIHSS Certification - Required

Nice To Haves

Neuro Surgical experience - Preferred
Open heart experience - Preferred
Prior Travel experience – Preferred
BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred

Responsibilities

Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in ICU Unit.
Float to ED or SDU as needed.
Uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological, psychosocial, spiritual assessment consistent with patient/significant other’s changing needs & goals.
Participate in patient and family teaching.
Records information concisely, accurately and completely.
Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning and revises plan of care based on assessment.
