Requirements

• Ability to accurately handle cash and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be at least 18 years of age due to nature of products sold.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably as a cashier, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer transactions using a POS system, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product location.
• Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area, including stocking shelves, fronting products, and cleaning counters.
• Handle cash and manage change fund accurately, adhering to company cash handling procedures.
• Scan and bag merchandise efficiently.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management, such as light cleaning or stocking.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including age-restricted sales (e.g., lottery, tobacco).
• Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management as needed.
