About The Position

Project Expedition, a fast-growing travel startup, is looking for a Travel Planning Specialist to join our Custom & Groups team. In this role, you’ll design personalized travel experiences for travel advisors and their clients—ranging from private tours to multi-day group programs around the world. You’ll collaborate with global tour operators, craft tailored proposals, and ensure every detail comes together to create seamless travel experiences. Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to manage multiple requests and deadlines simultaneously
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Experience with group programs, custom itineraries, or travel planning
  • Familiarity with booking or reservation platforms

  • Residing in the U.S. (excluding California and New York)
  • Not a digital nomad; must be based in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Create custom itineraries and quotes for travel advisors and their clients
  • Develop tailored proposals for private travelers, leisure groups, and corporate programs
  • Recommend unique activities and experiences to elevate each trip
  • Collaborate with tour operators worldwide to design and deliver custom programs
  • Coordinate schedules, capacity, pricing, and logistics with vendors
  • Maintain and update tour content, operational details, and pricing
  • Provide timely and professional support to travel advisors and group leaders
  • Manage requests ranging from single tours to complex multi-day itineraries
  • Resolve issues quickly to ensure smooth travel experiences
  • Track deadlines, penalties, costs, and agreements
  • Communicate itinerary updates and changes to advisors and partners
  • Review guest feedback and share insights to improve future programs
