The role delivers top-quality service to customers and colleagues by maintaining and supporting automated dispensing systems and related pharmacy operations. The technician works independently under the direction of the Pharmacist in Charge or Lead Travel Pharmacy Technician.

Requirements

Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
Previous pharmacy experience required.
Ability to work independently under the direction of the Pharmacist in Charge or Lead Travel Pharmacy Technician.
Ability to use various programs and applications efficiently and troubleshoot ADS problems.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic math and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of long-term care experience preferred.
Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems such as Pyxis or Omnicell preferred.
Data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Fill automated dispensing system restocks for facilities.
Add medications to the Automatic Dispensing System (ADS).
Analyze and adjust medication quantities for facility ADS units.
Assist with troubleshooting ADS issues.
Organize setup and prefill new ADS machines.
Prepack medications and handle foil medications into blister cards.
Maintain active communication with the Pharmacist in Charge, Lead, and pharmacy staff.
Use reporting applications, including myQlink and OmniCenter.
Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
Replace potentially expiring inventory and restock depleted inventory.
Perform monthly audits (cycle counts).
Provide reports for the facility.
Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
