About The Position

Kaplan North America, a leader in test preparation, is seeking Master's prepared nurses for its California Regional travel teaching team. This role involves traveling to various locations across the United States to teach NCLEX preparation classes, offering a chance to significantly impact future nurses' success on their NCLEX exams. The position is a PRN (as needed) role, ideal for those who enjoy exploring new places, expanding their professional skills, and building their network. Teachers receive paid training, use a pre-existing curriculum, and have access to ongoing professional development in teaching, presenting, and mentoring. Additionally, there's an opportunity to support students virtually through the Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) program, providing individualized guidance via email.

Requirements

• MSN or BSN with Masters required
• Current, unencipumbered license as a Registered Nurse
• 5+ years clinical nursing experience required
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership skills
• Travel required- lead time, locations and dates will be determined based on business needs and availability

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching/training experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year
• Maintain high energy level and ability to engage students to ensure an excellent student experience
• Effectively facilitate learning and learner development
• Ability to learn our methodology and strategies quickly
• Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops and ongoing instructional meetings as required
