Travel Nursing Instructor- West & Rockies Region
About The Position
Kaplan North America, a leader in test preparation, is seeking Master's prepared nurses for its West and Rockies Regional travel teaching team. This role involves teaching NCLEX preparation classes in various locations across the United States, offering an opportunity to impact future nurses' success on their NCLEX exams. The position is PRN, suitable for those who enjoy exploring new cities, expanding their professional skills, and network. Teachers receive paid training, use a pre-existing curriculum, and have access to ongoing development in teaching, presenting, and mentoring. Additionally, there's an opportunity to support students through the virtual Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) program, providing individualized guidance via email.
Requirements
- MSN or BSN with Masters required
- Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse
- 5+ years clinical nursing experience required
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Travel required

- Previous teaching/training experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year
- Maintain high energy level and ability to engage students to ensure an excellent student experience
- Effectively facilitate learning and learner development
- Ability to learn our methodology and strategies quickly
- Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops and ongoing instructional meetings as required
