Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role supports a Level III NICU providing care for premature and critically ill neonates in a high-acuity acute care environment. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for NICU nurses with strong neonatal critical care experience who are comfortable managing high-risk infants and working within a fast-paced, team-oriented NICU setting. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Night shift 3x12s (18:30–07:00) • Patient ratio: 1:3 • Level III NICU (42 beds) • Daily census: 30–40 patients • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Floating required within scope (NICU / well-baby nursery) • Call required: 1 day per 6 weeks • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide care for premature and critically ill neonates • Manage ventilators including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-frequency ventilation • Administer neonatal medications including surfactants and vasopressors • Monitor and respond to neonatal emergencies and changes in condition • Manage central lines, UAC/UVC lines, and IV therapy • Perform feeding support including gavage and tube feeding • Collaborate with neonatal care teams for coordinated patient care • Document patient care in EMR system WORK ENVIRONMENT • Level III NICU (42 beds) • High-acuity neonatal population (22+ weeks gestation) • Ground and flight transport program • Epic charting environment Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year NICU RN experience REQUIRED
  • Travel experience REQUIRED
  • BLS and NRP REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
  • OK or Compact RN license REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
  • Must be comfortable with ventilator management and critical neonates

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Level III or higher NICU preferred
