About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This community-based hospital offers specialized services uncommon for its size, serving multiple surrounding communities. The hospital is licensed for 176 beds and includes various units such as medical surgical, intensive care, Labor & Delivery, and a Level III NICU. The nursing team is on a journey towards Pathways to Excellence and aims for Magnet designation. Requirements

• Graduation from an Accredited Program.
• RN License.
• 2 years of recent NICU RN experience.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to Micro preemies to Full Term Infants (22 weeks to term gestation).
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity.
• Work in a 17-bed unit with 13 private rooms.
• Contribute to a healthy work environment and culture of safety using inter-professional collaboration.
• Participate in shared governance model with unit-based councils.
• Engage in a spirit of inquiry and innovation promoting Evidence-based practice, research, and innovations in nursing practice.
