Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a MICU RN for a travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports a high-acuity medical ICU specializing in oncology patients requiring advanced critical care interventions. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for experienced ICU nurses who are confident managing ventilated patients, complex medication regimens, and multi-system organ failure in a fast-paced environment. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day or night shift available (3x12s) • Patient ratio: 1:2 • Oncology-focused MICU • Floating required within scope • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide care for critically ill ICU patients • Manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC • Titrate vasoactive drips and sedation medications • Perform arterial line and central line management • Monitor and interpret ABGs and cardiac rhythms • Support CRRT and complex critical care therapies • Document all care in Epic EMR system WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Medical ICU with oncology focus • High-acuity patient population • Advanced equipment including CRRT and invasive monitoring Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU RN experience REQUIRED
- Must have CURRENT MICU experience (within last year) (HARD STOP)
- Travel experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- Active OH or compact RN license REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- Must be proficient with ventilators, drips, and critical care interventions
- First-time travelers NOT accepted
