About The Position

Bring your Medical Assistant skills directly to patients in their homes. This temporary/seasonal role is built for a California-based MA who is comfortable working independently, traveling statewide, and supporting preventive-care visits such as Medicare Annual Wellness Visits.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, credential, or equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current registration, and active auto insurance.
• Comfort working independently in patients’ homes.
• Ability to meet vaccination and TB/PPD onboarding requirements.
• Ability to travel throughout California, complete overnight assignments, and occasionally travel to nearby states.

Nice To Haves

• Medicare Annual Wellness Visit or preventive-care experience.
• Home-visit, mobile-care, field-based, or community health experience.
• Experience with A1Cs, UAs, specimen collection, or similar point-of-care testing.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled in-home member visits.
• Support Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and other preventive-care activities.
• Take vitals, complete screenings, and perform approved point-of-care testing such as A1Cs and UAs.
• Document visits accurately in the EMR/EHR.
• Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control procedures.
• Complete extended and overnight assignments when locations are too far for same-day travel.
• Occasionally travel to nearby states when coverage needs arise.
