Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role supports a Med-Surg unit delivering general acute care to adult and geriatric patients in a structured hospital setting with strong interdisciplinary support. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for Med-Surg nurses who are comfortable managing full patient loads and working across a variety of diagnoses including post-procedural, cardiac, and general medical patients. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Night shift 3x12s (18:45–07:15) • Patient ratio: 1:6 • Unit census: ~24 patients • Weekend requirement: every other weekend (6 shifts per 6 weeks) • Floating required to like MS/Tele units • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide care for Med-Surg patients across a variety of diagnoses • Administer medications including heparin and PCA • Manage IV therapy, PICC lines, and blood product administration • Provide respiratory support including oxygen therapy and HFNC • Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac changes • Perform wound care and manage surgical drains • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care • Document patient care in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Med/Surg and MS/Tele unit • Adult and geriatric population • Epic charting system REQUIRED Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Med-Surg RN experience REQUIRED
- BLS and ACLS REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Must be comfortable with 1:6 patient ratios
- OK or Compact RN license REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
