Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role supports a Med-Surg unit providing care for adult and geriatric patients in a structured acute care hospital environment with a focus on general medical and surgical conditions. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for Med-Surg nurses who are comfortable managing full patient loads, providing wound care, and supporting a wide range of patient diagnoses in a fast-paced unit. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 3x12s (06:45–19:15) • Patient ratio: 1:5 • Unit census: 25 patients • 25-bed unit • Weekend requirement: 6 shifts per 6 weeks • Floating required to like units • No call required • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide care for Med-Surg patients across a variety of diagnoses • Administer medications including heparin, insulin, and PCA • Manage IV therapy, PICC lines, and blood product administration • Perform wound care and manage surgical drains • Provide respiratory support including oxygen therapy and airway management • Monitor patients and respond to rapid response events • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care • Document patient care in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Med-Surg unit (25 beds) • Adult and geriatric patient population • Epic charting REQUIRED • Scrubs: Navy Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Med-Surg RN experience REQUIRED
- Epic experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
- BLS REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must be comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios
- Experience with wound care and general Med-Surg population REQUIRED
- OK or Compact RN license REQUIRED (in hand at submission)
