Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Augusta, Georgia. This role supports a high-functioning Med-Surg / Remote Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients across a wide range of medical and post-operative conditions. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for Med-Surg RNs who are comfortable managing moderate patient loads, working with telemetry, and providing comprehensive care across diverse diagnoses including post-op recovery and chronic conditions. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 14-week contract • Day shift 3x12s (07:00–19:00) • Patient ratio 1:5–6 • 33-bed unit with average census of 28 :contentReference[oaicite:0]index=0 • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Floating required within facility • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide care for adult and geriatric Med-Surg patients • Manage post-operative patients, wound care, and chronic conditions • Administer medications and blood products • Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line management • Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition • Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care • Document patient care in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Med-Surg / Remote Telemetry unit • Strong interdisciplinary support (IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, case management) • Epic charting system • Scrub color: Navy Blue Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Med-Surg RN experience REQUIRED
- First-time travelers accepted
- BLS REQUIRED
- Epic experience REQUIRED
- Experience with telemetry, IV therapy, and wound care
- Ability to manage 1:5–6 patient ratios
- GA or Compact RN license REQUIRED (must be in hand)
