About The Position

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves assisting the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management, while also supervising, directing, and evaluating team members. The position ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources, maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards, and provides direct patient care as needed. The Charge Nurse monitors patient care plans, collaborates with physicians and staff for positive patient outcomes, supports a safe and patient-centered care environment, and oversees staff performance and unit operations during their assigned shift.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN License
Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.
PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
