About The Position

The Travel Manager is a highly organized, service-driven travel professional who thrives under pressure and enjoys solving problems in real-time. This role requires deep GDS expertise, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for delivering a seamless travel experience. The ideal candidate enjoys managing details, building strong client relationships, and staying calm and resourceful when travel plans change at a moment's notice. The role involves program and client management, program planning and execution, and budget and financial management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in GDS (Sabre).
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency navigating multiple technology platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Domestic and international booking and ticketing experience.
  • Strong listening, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach to partnering with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Ability to assess client needs and recommend strategic, service-focused solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A customer service expert who consistently delivers exceptional client experiences.
  • Ability to manage stress, prioritize competing demands, and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Passion for the hospitality and air travel industries, with a commitment to delivering outstanding travel experiences.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships built on trust and high-quality service.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication and direction to our travel team, partnering with our Attendee Experience and Program Managers, along with our clients, to ensure a smooth travel experience for all attendees and associates.
  • Lead program timelines and ensure all milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Follow established program preparation protocols and department procedures.
  • Provide agent-assisted reservation fulfillment, including ticketing, exchanges, refunds, and voids.
  • Provide live meeting support as outlined in the department guide and prepare flight records for ticketing.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate Arrival & Departure (A&D) manifests, including air itineraries, updates, SABRE-to-Cvent queue processing, and quality control.
  • Support onsite preparation and partner with our after-hours team to ensure seamless onsite air support.
  • Oversee all program elements, including budgeting, site visits, travel, and onsite execution.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Track cost savings and avoidance throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely and accurate final billing and reconciliations.
  • Provide post-program evaluations, reporting, and insights to clients and internal teams.
