About The Position

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Registered Nurse for a position in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves overseeing ED operations and nursing staff, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care, and managing various aspects of unit operations. Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness.
• Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
