About The Position

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a Travel Director of Nursing (DON) | RN to join their team. This role involves traveling to senior living facilities in Omaha, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and Council Bluffs. The DON will be responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents, ensuring quality standards of care are maintained through 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and direction of the Nursing Department. In the absence of the Administrator, the DON will assume responsibility for center operations.

Requirements

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing.
Prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required.
Two years of experience in a DON role required.
Professional image in both appearance and behavior.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred.

Responsibilities

Administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with physician's orders and the total needs of the residents.
24-hour supervision of Nursing Services.
Directing the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care.
Assuming responsibility for center operations in the absence of the Administrator.
