About The Position

The Travel Content Editor will help scale published content for a fast-growing travel insurance comparison business that plans to expand into additional financial products. The role supports editorial operations and production, ensuring content is accurate, consistent, timely, high-quality, and compliant with standards appropriate for insurance and financial content. The editor will work with writers, editors, freelancers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams, and will use AI-assisted editorial systems responsibly while maintaining E-E-A-T and consumer trust standards.

Requirements

• Experience assisting with editorial operations for a digital publisher, affiliate site, SaaS company, or comparison website.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop editorial, SEO, and content operations skills.
• An understanding of SEO, LLMs, and search-driven content.
• Experience using CMS platforms such as WordPress.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• A proactive, self-motivated communicator.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in insurance, travel, personal finance, fintech, or consumer publishing.
• Experience assisting with large-scale content refreshes.
• Familiarity with AI tools and AI-assisted publishing workflows.
• Experience with analytics tools like GA4, Ahrefs, or Search Console.
• Experience working with remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the editorial production calendar.
• Fact-check content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Work with writers, editors, freelancers, and subject matter experts.
• Ensure articles are published accurately, on time, and to a high-quality standard.
• Follow editorial workflows, SOPs, QA systems, and publishing processes.
• Assist with large-scale content updates and refresh projects.
• Work closely with SEO, marketing, product, and partnerships teams.
• Maintain editorial consistency, tone, formatting, and compliance standards.
• Use AI-assisted editorial systems and workflows responsibly.
• Ensure content meets E-E-A-T and consumer trust standards.
• Maintain editorial and disclosure standards appropriate for insurance and financial content.
