About The Position

We are a fast-growing pet insurance comparison business looking to expand our offerings beyond insurance with additional financial products. We are building a world-class content engine and seeking a Pet Content Editor to scale our published content. This role involves managing the editorial production calendar, fact-checking content, collaborating with writers and subject matter experts, ensuring timely and high-quality publications, and adhering to editorial workflows and standards. The position also requires working closely with SEO, marketing, product, and partnerships teams, maintaining editorial consistency, and responsibly using AI-assisted editorial systems to meet E-E-A-T and consumer trust standards, particularly for insurance and financial content.

Requirements

• Experience assisting with editorial operations for a digital publisher, affiliate site, SaaS company, or comparison website
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Eagerness to learn and develop editorial, SEO, and content operations skills
• An understanding of SEO, LLMs, and search-driven content
• Experience using CMS platforms such as WordPress
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• A proactive, self-motivated communicator

Nice To Haves

• Experience in insurance, pets, personal finance, fintech, or consumer publishing
• Experience assisting with large-scale content refreshes
• Familiarity with AI tools and AI-assisted publishing workflows
• Experience with analytics tools like GA4, Ahrefs, or Search Console
• Experience working with remote teams

Responsibilities

• Help manage the editorial production calendar
• Fact-check content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Work with writers, editors, freelancers, and subject matter experts
• Ensure articles are published accurately, on time, and to a high-quality standard
• Follow editorial workflows, SOPs, QA systems, and publishing processes
• Assist with large-scale content updates and refresh projects
• Work closely with SEO, marketing, product, and partnerships teams
• Maintain editorial consistency, tone, formatting, and compliance standards
• Use AI-assisted editorial systems and workflows responsibly
• Ensure content meets E-E-A-T and consumer trust standards
• Maintain editorial and disclosure standards appropriate for insurance and financial content
