About The Position

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee high-volume retail facilities. The role is responsible for generating and executing travel center and restaurant business plans to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives, and customer satisfaction. The assistant manager builds, coaches, manages, and develops teams, including staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training. The position also involves ensuring customer expectations are met, holding meetings with subordinate employees, maintaining effective vendor relationships, driving sales, managing team members, tracking inventory, providing customer service, and performing P&L analysis.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or another service industry, with responsibility for financial results.
Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
Integrity and accountability at the managerial level.
Excellent team leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
