About The Position

Several Installation & Cable Technicians are needed to support projects in Ames, Des Moines, IA, and surrounding states. Some travel is required, and per diem is provided for travel assignments. Technicians will be responsible for installing and supporting structured cabling and network infrastructure, including data racks and cabinets, Cat6 and coaxial cabling, and faceplates, testing, and labeling. Technicians will also assist with setting up DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes for individual rooms, as well as helping build out server closets for network deployments. Work will take place both indoors and outdoors at school and apartment building locations. Occasional duties may include trenching and directional drilling. Technicians will receive daily direction and task assignments from project leads.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of low-voltage experience
• Strong knowledge and hands-on technical schooling will also be considered
