About The Position

Areté is seeking a Travel Assistant to join their team. This role will support employees by coordinating and booking travel arrangements, as well as processing expense reimbursements in compliance with company guidelines. This is a full-time, non-exempt, non-supervisory position based in their Falls Church, VA office.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Standard
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to take on tasks with short notice and tight deadlines
  • U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility.
  • Successful passage of a criminal background screen is required to meet position eligibility.
  • Successful passage of a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test is required to meet position eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with SAP Concur or similar travel/expense systems is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and book travel arrangements including airfare, hotels, and rental cars
  • Utilize travel management tools such as SAP Concur to manage bookings and expense reporting
  • Prepare and submit employee expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure travel and expenses align with federal guidelines and company policies
  • Maintain organized travel records, itineraries, and receipts
  • Provide support to employees regarding travel arrangements and expense submission
