About The Position

Matrix Providers is seeking qualified neurologists, psychiatrists, or physicians to join our provider network as an Independent Contractor for traumatic brain injury exams as well as general medicine disability exams. This role involves assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of health conditions, specifically traumatic brain injury, to support a Veteran's disability claim. As a certified medical disability examiner, you will gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. You will develop a medical opinion on the likelihood that the Veteran's condition is related to their military service. The timely and expert examination ensures that a Veteran's claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA. There is no treatment or prescribing involved, and an office will be provided.

Requirements

Doctorate Degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
An active and unrestricted license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in neurology or psychiatry
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
Medical License (Required)
BC/BE (Required)

Responsibilities
