About The Position

Matrix Providers is seeking qualified neurologists, psychiatrists, or physicians to join our provider network as an Independent Contractor. This role focuses on conducting traumatic brain injury (TBI) exams as well as general medicine disability exams. There is no treatment or prescribing involved, and an office will be provided. This is an opportunity to provide a meaningful service for veterans, diversify your income, and utilize your clinical expertise in assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of health conditions. As a certified medical disability examiner, you will gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. You will develop a medical opinion on the likelihood that the Veteran's condition is related to their military service. The timely and expert examination ensures that a Veteran's claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA. A typical workflow includes receiving an exam request, scheduling testing and exams, reviewing records, completing the veteran exam, and submitting the reviewed report.

Requirements

Doctorate Degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
An active and unrestricted license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in neurology
Updated resume with minimum 2 years of clinical experience
Medical License (Required)
BC/BE (Required)

Responsibilities

Conduct traumatic brain injury (TBI) exams.
Conduct general medicine disability exams.
Apply clinical expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of traumatic brain injury conditions to support a Veteran's disability claim.
Gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review.
Perform diagnostic testing.
Conduct interviews with Veterans.
Perform face-to-face examinations.
Develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the Veteran's condition is related to their military service.
Review and submit medical reports.
