About The Position

The West Virginia University Health System Medical Group is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to practice primarily at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. The successful candidate will focus on trauma surgery and emergency general surgery. This role is part of a Surgery team that supports the Northern Region if needed. The WVU Health System Medical Group, formed in 2021, has grown to include 900 physicians and advanced practice providers across all 25 WVU Medicine hospitals and clinics, working in tandem with the WVU faculty practice plan.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Completed general surgery residency program.
• Board certified/eligible in general surgery.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of trauma surgery/emergency general surgery.
• Support the Northern Region if needed as part of the Surgery team.
