About The Position

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown is seeking a Trauma Program Manager to join their Trauma department. This role involves demonstrating core organizational values, setting clear expectations, coaching staff for professional growth, and guiding teams through shifting priorities. The manager will supervise Trauma Clinical Program staff, drive performance improvement initiatives, and ensure compliant billing practices for activation charges. They will also monitor and adhere to all local, regional, state, and national trauma program regulations and clinical care standards, and direct the routine review and revision of all trauma policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines at least every three years. Additionally, the role manages all preparation, documentation, and operational readiness for HFC trauma designation verification visits.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Required if working in an adult critical care setting.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
  • 3+ years of Emergency Department, Trauma ICU, Trauma Acute Care Nursing experience required
  • 2+ years working in a prior Trauma Program Leadership role required

Nice To Haves

  • TNCC Provider or Instructor certification obtained within 12 months of hire date
  • STN TOPIC course completed within 12 months of hire date
  • ATS Trauma Program Management course completed within 12 months of hire date
