About The Position

Logan Health is seeking an experienced Trauma Program Manager, RN to lead and advance their Medical Center Trauma Program. This role involves coordinating trauma care across the organization and region, working with multidisciplinary partners to improve outcomes and meet high clinical standards. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, highly organized, and passionate about improving trauma care in complex environments.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing in Montana.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; or Associate degree in Nursing with at least five years of nursing experience.
  • At least three years of previous trauma nursing experience.
  • Successful completion of the following within six months of hire: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of clinical, administrative, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize competing demands, analyze information, and work independently.
  • Commitment to integrity, empathy, confidentiality, teamwork, and high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and program leadership for the Logan Health Medical Center Trauma Program while supporting trauma services across the Logan Health system.
  • Lead the Trauma Program and coordinate day-to-day program operations while providing guidance and support to other Logan Health trauma programs.
  • Develop and implement strategic and operational goals aligned with Logan Health priorities, Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services requirements, and American College of Surgeons standards.
  • Drive Performance Improvement and Patient Safety initiatives that identify opportunities to improve trauma care, reduce complications, and strengthen outcomes.
  • Coordinate the Trauma Multidisciplinary Committee, bringing together physicians, nursing, EMS, quality, education, and other key stakeholders to advance trauma care.
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource and organizational liaison for trauma care, representing the program with leadership, providers, staff, and community partners.
  • Oversee the Trauma Injury Prevention Program, collaborating with the Injury Prevention Coordinator and community stakeholders to develop and implement an annual prevention plan.
  • Analyze operational, clinical, and benchmarking data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in case reviews, audits, quality initiatives, and program evaluation to ensure the highest standards of trauma care.
  • Develop and support clinical protocols, practice guidelines, policies, and processes that promote consistent, evidence-based trauma care.
  • Partner with EMS leaders and agencies to strengthen prehospital trauma care, education, and communication.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness planning and system-level initiatives that support organizational readiness.
  • Collaborate with community, regional, and state partners in the continued development of trauma care systems.
  • Support education and professional development for clinicians and other healthcare professionals involved in trauma care.
  • Promote a culture grounded in patient safety, transparency, human factors, just culture, and continuous improvement.
