About The Position

We're currently in need of a Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse Coordinator to support the Trauma Services Department. This role will be responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes. The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager (TPM), provides coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes. The Trauma PI Coordinator will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants and multidisciplinary trauma team members to assure quality patient outcomes across the continuum of care as well as collaborates closely with Trauma Program leadership to assure compliance with Trauma standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • AA Degree in Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse in California
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certified.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Clinical expertise in the practice of trauma nursing.
  • 2 years of experience in trauma nursing, including experience in quality assurance.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certified.
  • 5 years of experience in trauma nursing, teaching, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
