The Trauma Nurse Coordinator serves as a clinical leader, educator, patient advocate, and quality improvement specialist responsible for coordinating and supporting all aspects of the trauma program. Working in partnership with the Trauma Medical Director, Trauma Program Administrator, and multidisciplinary teams, the Trauma Nurse Coordinator helps ensure the delivery of timely, evidence-based, and patient-centered trauma care across the continuum of treatment. This position plays a critical role in trauma program operations, performance improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, injury prevention efforts, and trauma education. The coordinator collaborates with physicians, nurses, ancillary departments, and community partners to promote optimal patient outcomes and maintain adherence to trauma center standards established by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) and other accrediting organizations. As an integral member of the Trauma Services team, the Trauma Nurse Coordinator provides leadership through clinical expertise, educational initiatives, quality improvement activities, and community outreach programs designed to improve trauma care and reduce preventable injuries.
