Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License required.
  • Current BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
  • TNCC required upon hire and maintain current.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.
  • Team approach to patient care.
  • Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.
  • Day and evening flexibility required.

Nice To Haves

  • ENPC and CEN or CCRN preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating resources and activities necessary to ensure the Trauma Services meets regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating the collection of Trauma data and maintains statistical information for the Trauma Registry.
  • Coordinating the tracking of Trauma patients throughout the Trauma system (pre-hospital to rehabilitation).
  • Coordinating trauma educational programs for the institution as well as public education and prevention programs in the community.
  • Teaching and coordination of educational program experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative relationship with other health care members in the promotion and provision of comprehensive patient care.
  • Communication/writing skills, considerable emotional/physical/mental stamina and stability.
