About The Position
The RN - Trauma Auditor shall be responsible to ensure complete and accurate documentation on the patient's medical record. This individual will also be responsible to provide call-back instructions and follow-up as directed by the ED physician. The Auditor will perform appropriate data collection and entry of required fields to the Alabama Trauma Registry when applicable. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- BLS required
- Familiar with Emergency Department documentation requirements
- Familiar with the hospital computer system
- Minimal typing skills
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate with all hospital contacts both on the telephone and directly.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years trauma ER experience preferred
- Familiar with EN-Chart System preferred
- Initial and continuing education as listed in educational guidelines.
