About The Position

In conjunction with Trauma Services, an Injury Prevention Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of injury prevention activities for identified target populations. Develop, implement and evaluate injury prevention programs. Serve as a liaison to related agencies and personnel within the community. Established short and long term goals of injury prevention initiatives. Pursues external funding opportunities. Documents system-wide injury prevention activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of science degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Current certification as EMT-Paramedic.
• Experience in trauma care.
• Knowledge of public education.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
• Ability to work well with the general public.
• Experience in planning, organizing and implementing special programs.
• Experienced computer skills, in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in Injury Prevention & Outreach role or similar.
• Child Protective Safety Technician (CPST) certification.
