About The Position

This role focuses on delivering direct patient care and injury prevention counseling to families to improve safety knowledge and reduce preventable injuries. The coordinator will analyze injury registry data and community needs to guide effective injury prevention programs and measurable quality improvement initiatives. They will lead injury prevention initiatives that promote safer behaviors, strengthen community health, and reduce injury incidence across populations. Additionally, the role involves coordinating research projects, data collection, and family surveys to advance evidence-based injury prevention strategies and program evaluation. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, community partners, and hospital staff is key to expanding care coordination, prevention resources, and safety initiatives. The coordinator will also provide injury prevention education and resources while supporting clinical teams through clear communication, program implementation, and outcome evaluation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • CPST (Child Passenger Safety Technician) certification preferred upon hire.
