Trash Valet (Storrs)
About The Position
Ally Waste is hiring a part-time Trash Valet to collect tied trash bags from apartment doorsteps and transport them to the community dumpster. The role helps keep apartment communities clean and running smoothly. Work is performed independently outdoors in all weather conditions. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday evenings, starting at 7 p.m., with shifts typically lasting 1–2 hours per night, or around 5–10 hours per week. Pay is $50 per night. The role may involve current or upcoming routes in the area. Ally Waste is a nationally recognized valet trash and recycling provider serving apartment communities, student housing, and senior living facilities. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proof of auto insurance listing the applicant as a covered driver.
- Reliable transportation.
- Smartphone.
- Ability to carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to walk stairs and remain active for 1–2 hours.
Responsibilities
- Walk the apartment community and collect tied trash bags from residents’ doorsteps.
- Transport collected bags to the designated dumpster area.
- Take and upload photos using the company app.
- Follow safety guidelines and use provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work independently outdoors in all weather conditions.
