Trash Valet (Storrs)
About The Position
Ally Waste is hiring a part-time Trash Valet for evening routes in Storrs. Each evening, you will collect tied trash bags from apartment doorsteps and take them to the community dumpster, helping keep apartment communities clean and running smoothly. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, starting at 7 p.m. Shifts typically take 1–2 hours per night, or about 5–10 hours per week, and pay is $50 per night. The role involves working independently outdoors in all weather conditions and using a company app to upload photos. Safety gear is provided. This position may suit someone looking for extra income and an active evening job.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance listing you as a covered driver.
- Reliable transportation.
- Smartphone.
- Ability to carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to walk stairs and remain active for 1–2 hours.
Responsibilities
- Walk the apartment community and collect tied trash bags from residents' doorsteps.
- Transport bags to the designated dumpster area.
- Take and upload photos using the company app.
- Follow safety guidelines and use provided personal protective equipment.
- Work independently outdoors in all weather conditions.
