About The Position

This research assistant will work with Professor Meltzer to analyze and prepare a peer-reviewed manuscript on two focus groups conducted with mothers of preschool-aged children in the slums of Jaipur, India, to understand their perceptions of trash burning in the community to inform a pilot public health intervention. The RA will conduct coding and thematic analysis, help draft a peer-reviewed manuscript, and prepare a poster and/or slides for academic conference presentations. The RA will assist with the translation and analysis of transcripts of focus groups on trash burning with women in slums in Jaipur, India. The RA will then assist with the writeup of a scientific manuscript and the preparation of posters and/or slides for academic conference presentations.

Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled American University student.
  • Eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards (with exceptions).
