About The Position
The Patient Transporter provides safe, timely, and courteous transportation of patients and visitors throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Able to assist patients entering and exiting wheelchairs
- Safely push or maneuver equipment
- Ability to push up to 500 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent GED

Responsibilities
- Transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed, wagon, or by walking assistance
- Ensuring patient safety during transport
- Responding promptly to transport requests through EPIC and telephone communications
- Documenting transport activities
- Assisting with patient arrivals in EPIC
- Cleaning transport equipment after use
