About The Position

The Patient Transporter provides safe, timely, and courteous transportation of patients and visitors throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed, wagon, or by walking assistance; ensuring patient safety during transport; responding promptly to transport requests through EPIC and telephone communications; documenting transport activities; assisting with patient arrivals in EPIC; and cleaning transport equipment after use.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to assist patients entering and exiting wheelchairs
• Ability to safely push or maneuver equipment
• Ability to push up to 500 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent GED
