About The Position

This role involves moving patients and various hospital equipment, such as oxygen tanks, specimens, and hospital beds, throughout Froedtert Hospital. The Transporter is responsible for maintaining clear corridors and disinfecting hospital equipment according to regulations. Additional duties may include monitoring designated entrances, providing directions to patients and family members, accessing hospital systems, and answering telephones to provide general information to staff and patients.

Requirements

  • Ability to receive and convey non-medical information
  • Possess good public relations and communication skills
  • Ability to interact well with the general public
  • Ability to make sound judgments in a variety of situations
  • Possess basic telephone skills
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to use hospital software to obtain information (required for staff monitoring entrances)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience is preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
